BY-LAWS

The  LEHA bylaws have been revised several times.  The version posted here includes the latest changes made on July 30. 2016, to Article II with a new Section 6, followed by renumbered subsequent sections.

PROPOSAL FOR BYLAW AMENDMENTS

If you already replied to the email that was sent out recently, please send your response again to Gail Rioux (see below).  We had some trouble with the email address that was used in the prior email.


The Policies & Bylaws Committee has been reveiwing LEHA bylaws and has a proposal that includes amendments for our membership to consider.  The committee now needs to get approval from the membership to consider our latest draft of the bylaw proposal, BEFORE the meeting in July.

Amending LEHA bylaws requires a two step process:

1. Proposal - "Amendments to these By-Laws may be proposed by a majority of members of the Association”

2. Adoption - "Amendments to these By-Laws may be adopted only by a two-thirds vote of the members present in person or by proxy at a regular or special meeting of theAssociation"

Members, please review the proposed bylaws document and determine if, as a member of LEHA, you would consider the proposed changes at the next association meeting in July. You are not voting on adoption but only to bring them forward for consideration at the meeting. Therefore, by your vote to bring them forward, you are not indicating you agree with everything in the document but just that the substance is worth consideration and possible adoption at the meeting.

We need 30 positive votes (remember, only 1 person can vote per lot) from lot owners to bring the proposal forward.

Please send an email to Gail Rioux, LEHA Policy and Bylaws Committee Chair, at riouxga@gmail.com, indicating yes or no to consider the amendments in the draft proposal at the July meeting.

HANDBOOK

The Lake View Estates Homeowners Association (LEHA) Handbook contains information about the history of the association along with a map of the development, association policies, and deeded restrictions.  Information is also included about the Basin Pond Conservation Easement, DEP site location orders, buffer zones, and mandatory driveway locations.


ANNUAL MAINTENANCE FEES

The LEHA annual maintenance fee is $300, due on April 15.  Read more...

THE “WHITE BOOK”

A thick binder with a white cover was given to all original owners.  The so-called white book is an archive of information concerning the establishment of the development of Lake View Estates by the Patten Corporation.  We incorporated relevant information from this collection of documents into the LEHA Handbook, but those who may want to dig into the historical details may find this collection of documents useful.
