Trash removal at LEHA has been RESUMED
LEHA Members: Please see the message below sent out by Stephen Smith-Erb, LEHA President on 3/27/2026.
================
Dear LEHA members,
We are engaging with a new trash removal organization beginning 4/2; trash pickup day will be Thursday each week. The bins are currently on Shore Road above the common lot but will be moved down to the common lot once the snow melts.
It is IMPERATIVE that:
- Trash and recycling be separated from one another; there can be no trash in the recycling bags.
- Trash and recycling be bagged and tied and put in the correct, labeled bins.
- Recycling adhere to the ecomaine guidelines; click HERE for a complete list of what is recyclable and what is not.
- All corrugated cardboard be broken down so the pieces could lay flat with no pieces larger than 36".
- No bins be overfilled; each lid must close completely. If all bins are full, DO NOT leave bagged trash or recycling outside the bins.
It is ESSENTIAL all LEHA members follow these rules. Failure to do so could easily result in LEHA being unable to provide trash removal service in the future — we have already lost one vendor because we did not follow these rules.
Thank you! I hope you are enjoying the start of spring and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Steve
